PRP applications

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) applications are used today in many different areas.

PRP in Orthopaedics

For pain therapies, osteoarthritis, aching muscles, injuries, fractures, better wound healing, etc.

PRP in Aesthetics

PRP in Aesthetics, also called vampire facelifts or Dracula facelifts. For skin, face, neckline, and hands to treat wrinkles, smooth skin, treat hair loss, etc.

PRP applications can preserve structure over the long term and have constructive effects.

PRP for the purpose of wrinkle treatment can stimulate cell renewal and collagen production. Compared to other fillers, such as hyaluronic acid, PRP applications can be stimulating and have constructive effects; in contrast, fillers continually diminish.

PRP in orthopaedics can reduce inflammation and pain, improve circulation and joint mobility, and have a positive, fortifying influence on cartilage cells. PRP has a constructive, regenerative effect and can accelerate the healing process of muscles and joints.

When PRP is used for hair loss, the hair roots can be stimulated by growth factors.

Risks and chances of side effects are very low, as the treatment involves blood from your own body. Redness, swelling or bruising is possible.

  • People taking phenprocoumon, ASA, cytostatics, arnica

PRP production has to be done quickly and does not take much time. After a small amount of blood is taken from the vein, the tube with blood and the separating gel is briefly swung around and then immediately added to the centrifuge. Subsequently, the plasma is removed. It is used immediately and injected into the affected areas.

This method can help to promote the body’s own regenerating and healing powers in a simple manner. The concentrated platelets release growth factors and thus control the regeneration process.

The buffy coat is the layer that divides red blood cells and plasma. It results from the addition of coagulants. It contains platelets and most of the white blood cells.

Platelets contain many growth factors (PDGF, FGF, EGF, TGF-ß, VEGF, IGF), which stimulate and accelerate cell generation and wound healing.
